Business Automation: The Essential Party Accessory

This week we had the pleasure of hosting a National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) firm night event at our new showroom in Burnsville. Planning an event is never easy and often the most obvious details are forgotten until the last hour leading up to the event. After multiple trips to Wal-Mart, SR Harris Fabric and of course, Total Wine we were finally ready to host 100 contractors, remodelers and various other trades at our space.

There were a couple of details that could wait until the last minute thanks to the automation throughout our showroom – music is one detail we never have to worry about. Right before the guests started arriving we were able to use the Control4 Touch Screen to queue up a nice Pandora channel to accompany our fiesta theme. We also had the ability to change the volume level in individual rooms, so the NARI board members could comfortably hold their meeting in the conference room without having to hear the music that was playing throughout the other main space. The thermostat was also easily manipulated. The ability to have different temperatures in each room allowed all of our guests to be comfortable throughout the event. At the end of the night after cleaning up we punched our remote 3 times and everything in the building went to sleep. We never have to worry if we remembered to shut off lights throughout, it happens automatically.
